We have members in all forms of motorsport ranging from the local Autotest to the World Rally Championship. We hold regular meetings in the Sheep N Wool centre Cockermouth and organise everything from a Treasure Hunt to a Forest Rally. Autosolo Challange Date Change We have had to move the date for the next round of the Autosolo, the new date is 12th September, this is also the New Motorsport weekend date. The Autosolo times are now on the Misc Page of this web site with the Championship points on the Autosolo page. 3rd WEEKEND OF MOTORSPORT 11th/12th SEPTEMBER 2010 Well here it is, our third Weekend of Motorsport, a sort of WCMC mini Festival of Motorsport, giving everyone the chance to do some or all of a range of events. The programme is - Saturday 11th September - A Grass Autotest, starting at 1.00pm.( a tarmac venue will be on standby if the weather prevents the grass event running) Saturday 11th September - A 12 Car Rally, starting at 8.30pm.Sunday 12 th September - An Autosolo, signing on starts at 9.30am. And it really is a West Cumbrian event with the grass autotest being at Threlkeld Leys, near Cockermouth, the 12 car rally starting at Lillyhall, near Workington and the autosolo at the White Heather Hotel, Kirkbride.. Club members are welcome to enter all or some of the events but there is an incentive to enter all. The entry fee per event is £10 but if you enter all of them there is a special entry fee of just £25! Now where can you get a weekend of motorsport for 25 quid? There will also be prizes for the winners of each event(and some class awards) and we will also be having a 'Weekend' Champion – that is the person who finishes with the most points having entered all three events. The winner of each event will be awarded 10 points down to 1 point for tenth(on the 12 Car navigators will receive the same points as drivers), but to qualify for this award you have to enter all three events. So along with this information you should be getting the regulations for the autosolo soon(by post or via our website) and simple entry forms for the autotest and 12 car rally. Fill them in, send them off and if you have an email address do let us have it as it will save money when we need to communicate with you. Remember you should be able to do all of these events in a road legal car. In fact you can only compete on the autosolo in a car that is taxed, MOT'd(if appropriate), insured and driven to the event. Autotest
